ISA ACTIVITY 4 'ENDANGERED SPECIES'


ISA project on Awareness about Endangered Species, our students researched around the four most important rivers of the world (Nile, Ganga, Amazon and Hwang Ho).
Students researched independently and collected information about the endangered species around their respective allotted river. Therefore they had executed their research by making PPT on the same and maintaining a scrap book, in which they wrote the content along with drawing and pasting of images.
Students even prepared colourful bookmarks of endangered species of their respective country. Students came up with numerous ideas as to make beautiful bookmarks using paper, ribbons, wool, pictures(drawn and pasted) etc.
In order to conserve the fauna around their allotted river, students took part in groups for Poster making and Slogan writing competition and showed outstanding output. Moreover they even made the poster on scientific names of the endangered species.
Students did brainstorming for the advertisement on endangered species, they wrote scripts, played roles, prepared props and practiced a lot, which was recorded by the school media team.
Students prepared PPT on recovery plan of endangered species in groups in the school computer lab.

ACTIVITY 5 WE ARE ONE FAMILY


Activity V- We are one Family :students were divided in different countries Brazil,Bhutan,South Africa,Australia,Mexico Iran further they made scrap books for the country assigned .They wrote about the national bird ,national animal and national flag.Students very enthusiastically coloured the flags of the country these flags were displayed on their class soft boards.They also made bookmarks of national animal and national bird of the assigned countries. These students also learnt the national anthem of the countries which will be showcased in a special ISA Assembly in coming week.








ISA ACTIVITY 7 : 'HELPING HANDS'



ISA Activity “The Helping Hands” was carried out by Class XI students along with the collaboration   of The Hathaway Academy, England. The students interviewed the school staff and recorded the activity. It helped them to understand the job profile of workers at school and their importance in the smooth functioning of the school.The  Hathaway Academy shared the job descriptions of  the school workers and the students analyzed whose job was the  hardest by writing reports. The students appreciated the work done by the others and learnt the importance of collaborating as a team.



ISA ACTIVITY 2 :'LET'S CELEBRATE'

Under Activity II-Let’s Celebrate  Students of grade VI  participated enthusiastically. They performed various activities related to various festivals celebrated around the world. The festivals of countries India, China, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Turkey were celebrated. The students made greeting cards for the following festivals; Diwali, Eid, Chinese New Year, Christmas, Hanukkah and Vesak Poya. The students also performed an assembly on these festivals and gave important information that how and when these festivals are celebrated. The students will make traditional table dishes of the countries mentioned above. The activities are shared with the partner school and students will further share the information regarding these festivals with partner school on a skype session in coming week with
 Govt. high School Rajar ,Khushab,Pakistan and 
El Geel El Muslim Prep &Sec Private  School For Girls ,Egypt.




ISA ACTIVITY 3 'NATURES' BOON TO US'


ISA Activity was conducted in the school premises on the topic Medicinal Herbs-Nature’s Boon to us for class IV students. Many activities were conducted regarding medicinal herbs (Basil, Mint, Parsley, Rosemary and Peppermint). Before conducting the activity a PowerPoint presentation was shown to through light on different facts about   medicinal herbs. Further the activities included a poster making activity for the students wherein they made the different types of herbs.


The most exciting activities for the students were crossword puzzle activity and plantation. Students enthusiastically participated in the crossword puzzle activity ant they enjoyed planting herbs in the school garden. Overall effect of these activities on the students was that they learnt about uses and importance of herbs in our daily life.





ISA ACTIVITY 6 'ASIAN MARKET DAY'


Students of Class IX exhibited a thrilling presentation on the culture, art, dance and food of various Asian countries after a profound analysis of the same. The spirit of teamwork was very well exhibited by the students through a spectrum of folk dances, traditional art presented on fabric as well as on canvases and cuisines of distinct Asian countries. The students acquired knowledge about the similarities and differences among various Asian countries. The activities not only inculcated the deep value of culture in students but also gave a global outlook and created an environment for understanding and perspective building.

ISA Activity I ' Shelter'

As part of the ISA Activity I – ‘Shelter all the students of Grade VII prepared beautiful Power Point Presentations on different houses in different regions on the basis of climate and tradition. The same was prepared by our partner school in  Sri Lanka –Tamil Girls Mahavidyalaya , Badulla . Studengts under this project had a interactive skype session with Ne Taipei Municipal San-Min High School Taiwan and Gyan Bagaichaa English Boarding School Tanahun , Nepal
